Iteration 2 Plan I have
1. Plan it to be a 20 day iteration.
2. Aims
a) Write all the Actions for Login / Registration
b) Write all the services for the above
c) Improve on the exiting things. Hopefully a better Data Model , a Better Test Data Plan , a more detailed screen requirements

Screen Flows and Refactoring

Even with all my desire to have a full set of requirements before I start the project I did not manage to complete them.

In practice this is what I ended up doing.
1. Conceive the Idea for the Application(Vision Document . 50000 feet )
2. Looked at some other applications doing the same.
3. Inspired (Stole :) ) someone elses application concepts
4. Made a prototype for general Look and feel
5. Defined the early screens (Login / Registration to quite a lot of Detail)

6. Statted working on Domain Model(Made a few Domain Objects)
7. Made a Data Model.
8. Wrote the DDLs and Test Data
9. and now I am in Iteration 2...

The problem I am stuggling with .

How to import Excel Data into MqSql .


It is very important to have a Test Data Strategy .



criteria for deciding Test Data Writing Tool.
should not be expensive or should be easily accessible across easily.
the Data should be readable and editable very easily.


Good choices include
1. Excel . Most databases have csv importers. But beware of corrupt data getting into spread sheet with empty Rows.
2. Jedit. I really prefer XML based data . as we can have views and XML forces type safety and avoids corrupt data.Challange.
1. No standard XSD , DTD for importing.
2.There might be a learning curve and hence getting a buy in might be diffcult.



But having XML Test Data certainly a direction to look forward to
